錢艾琳，浙江嘉興人，南方科技大學人文科學中心研究助理教授。

1996年至2003年就讀于北京大學外國語學院阿拉伯語系，獲學士和碩士學位。1998年至1999年受教育部公派至敘利亞大馬士革大學文學院進修。2003年至2012年在美國賓夕法尼亞大學近東語言文明系學習，獲得阿拉伯古典文學博士學位。2018年5月起任南方科技大學人文科學中心研究助理教授。2018年秋季學期，她將教授“學術中文寫作”和“走近《一千零一夜》”兩門課程。

錢艾琳博士曾學習過阿拉伯語、波斯語、土耳其語、希伯來語、法語、德語、古希臘語、拉丁語、梵語等十七門古代和現代外語。她的主要研究興趣是阿拉伯古典散文以及印度-伊朗文化對阿拉伯文化和中國文化的輻射作用。從2005年至2016年，她在北美中東學會年會、美國東方學會年會、芝加哥大學、北京大學、復旦大學發表口頭論文十六篇。她在《美國東方學會會刊》、《北大中東研究》等刊物上發表過論文和書評。2018年她翻譯的《哈馬扎尼瑪卡梅集》被列入商務印書館阿拉伯古籍翻譯系列第一批，即將出版。她的博士論文《論<哈馬扎尼瑪卡梅集>的散韻相間文體》，該書已被列入英國愛丁堡大學出版社“阿拉伯古典文學叢書”出版計劃。
