YANG Jian - Ph.D., holds the position of Research Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Control Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Notre Dame in the United States. Dr. Yang has worked in institutions and companies such as the Shenzhen Research Institute of Northwestern Polytechnical University and ZTE Corporation, with several years of industrial experience. He joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology in January 2019. Dr. Yang is adept at extracting scientific problems oriented towards engineering applications and solving them. His research interests focus on artificial intelligence issues in robotics science, with main research directions including intelligent robots, computational intelligence, and swarm intelligence.
