Li Ming received his PhD in management from Xi’an Jiaotong University. From 1982 to 1992, Dr. Li Ming was Lecturer/Associate Professor at the Department of Social Science of Xi’an Jiaotong University. From 1992 to 2003, Dr. Li served in an array of key positions in the government of Shenzhen Municipality, including Vice Mayor and Director of Public Security Bureau.
From 2014 to 2016, Dr. Li was the Chairman of University Council of Southern University of Science and Technology.
In May 2016, he was appointed as Director of the Center for Higher Education Research of SUSTech, and Director of the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO.
