Dr. He?is an associate professor at the Department of?Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his BEng in?Theoretical and Applied Mechanics?from Lanzhou University in 2008.?Then he obtained his MSc in Solid?Mechanics from Shanghai Jiao?Tong?University in 2011 and his PhD in?Mechanical Engineering from?University of Hong Kong in 2015.?Dr. He?was a post-doctoral fellow?in University of Hong Kong from 2015?to 2019.?His research interest?covers different aspects of physical metallurgy, including?alloy design, deformation mechanisms, and phase?transformation. Currently, his thrust of research also goes to the 3-D printable high strength steel. Dr. He’s research works have been published in top journals including SCIENCE, Acta Materialia?and International Journal of Plasticity.
